Who can have an account

You need to be 13 or older to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your password safe. One person, one account is the friendly way to play.

Be kind

• No hateful, sexual, violent or bullying usernames, plant names or room names.
• No pretending to be someone else, including Windowsill.
• No spam, scams or attempts to trick other gardeners.
• Don't cheat the game or the market, for example by editing your save to create plants or dew.

Names are checked automatically, but no filter is perfect. If you see something unkind, use Report on the home or listing, or Block to hide that gardener from you (and you from them). We look at every report, usually within a day, remove anything that breaks these rules and close the accounts of people who post it.

Dew and the plant market

• Dew is play money inside the game. It can't be bought, sold or exchanged for real money or anything outside Windowsill, and it has no cash value.
• When you list a plant, it leaves your home until someone buys it or you take it back. A sale is final once it's made.
• Prices are up to you. We may remove listings that break these rules, and the plant comes back to you.
• We may change, pause or reset parts of the game (including the market) to fix problems or keep things fair.

Your content

The names you give your plants and rooms are yours. By sharing your home with other gardeners, you let Windowsill show it to them inside the app.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

The legal bits

Windowsill is provided as it is, without warranties, and we're not liable for losses from using it, as far as the law allows. These rules work alongside Apple's standard licence agreement for apps from the App Store. If these rules change, we'll update this page and the date above.
